IGPF: Drone fragments found in Vulcănești district do not contain explosives

Chisinau, February 18 /MOLDPRES/- The drone fragments found yesterday in Vulcănești district do not contain explosives. The findings were made by the law enforcement officers following the actions carried out at the place where the fragments fell.

According to the General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPF), the relevant bodies found that there is no explosive and the area does not pose any risk to the community.

"The area where the drone fragments were found has been completely cleared. Following the discovery of the remains of the drone, the competent authorities took all the necessary measures to protect the town of Etulia Nouă, in Vulcănești district," the institution informed.

Several fragments of a drone, similar to Герань-2 type, were found yesterday by the border police near the town of Etulia Noua, Vulcanesti district.

Late last week, fragments of Shahed type drone were found near the town of Etulia, Vulcănești district. The police safely detonated its explosive charge.
