National Institute for Education and Leadership to work in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ - The National Institute for Education and Leadership (INEL) will work in Moldova. INEL’s official launch will take place on 25 February, with the presentation of the concept on mentorship. Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun today made statements to this effect.

According to the minister, among the main duties of the new institution, there is the management of the continuous training of teachers from the entire education system and the creation of a network of 1,000 mentors. ‘’They will help us disseminate the best practices in the system, reform the system of continuous training in education and ensure a better support for the young specialists,’’ the minister said.

INEL was set up in the last autumn. Viorica Andritchi holds the office of the institute’s director.

„The concept of mentorship for the entire educational community will be unveiled on next Sunday. We have not had such an approach in the system so far,’’ Dan Perciun also said.

A budget of 9 million lei was approved for INEL’s work in 2024.
