Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - The citizens will pay less for gas. The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today approved the decrease in the tariff for gas. Thus, the household consumers will pay a tariff of 13.39 lei (without value added tax – VAT) for one cubic metre, which is by 3.3 lei less than at present.
Under the decision, ‘’ANRE found out the existence of objective factors conditioning the revision of the price, with the cutting of the average annual cost for purchasing gas being priority.’’
ANRE’s decision enters into force on the date of its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The decision was taken, after in late last January, the Moldovagaz stock company had submitted an application to ANRE on the decrease in the average tariff for the supply of natural gas to the end consumers.
Presently, the household consumers pay a tariff of 18.06 lei (including VAT) for one cubic metre of gas.
The last change of the tariffs for natural gas was made in June 2023, when the prices dropped by about 38 per cent or by about 11 lei.
