Moldovan policemen identify accomplice of driver who triggered accident resulting in death of minor

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - Policemen today identified an accomplice of the driver who had triggered an accident resulting in the death of a 14-year-old minor.   

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), the accomplice helped him find an identical car with the one involved in the accident. ‘’The man participated also in the setting of the registration plate on another vehicle, in order to mislead the law-enforcers. He is a physician dentist and is to be detained for 72 hours,’’ IGP said.     

The mayor of the Bolduresti settlement, central Nisporeni district, today morning was detained by policemen, after he had hit and killed a 14-year-old minor and left the place of the accident. The impact occurred on 19 February, in the Bolduresti settlement. The man on this period tried to mislead the policemen, in order to avoid the accountability.   

A criminal file was opened on this case, managed by prosecutors from Chisinau.
