Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has had a meeting with European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, on the sidelines of her working visit to Brussels.   

According to the government’s communication department, the officials discussed the progress made by Moldova since the historical decision of the European Council on the opening of the negotiations on accession, as well as the steps Moldova is to undertake in the months to come.

At the same time, Deputy PM Cristina Gherasimov reconfirmed the authorities’ commitment to implement the reforms, for the country to get closer to the EU standards.   .

„I thanked for the constant support provided by the European Union. Moldova enjoys an unprecedented openness on behalf of the foreign partners, which strengthens our determination to continue on the European way,’’ Cristina Gherasimov said.
