Moldovan parliament's delegation participates in Winter Meeting of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of Moldova’s parliament on 22-23 February participates in the 23rd Winter Meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), held in Vienna, Austria.   

The delegation is made up of Veronica Rosca and Gheorghe Ichim.

In the beginning of the meeting, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Pia Kauma and President of the National Council of Austria’s Parliament Wolfgang Sobotka will come with messages addressed to the participants. The OSCE chairman-in-office, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta Ian Borg, as well as OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid will give speeches as well.    

The subject of the general discussion at the winter meeting is European Security Today and Tomorrow: Parliamentary Perspectives on the Future of the OSCE.  

The meeting also includes sessions of those three general committees of the Parliamentary Assembly.

The OSCE PA represents an inter-parliamentary forum made up of 57 member states.
