Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova becomes part of the Eurydice Network. Thus, starting from 2024, Eurydice is extended in the area of the new countries candidates for accession to the European Union: Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia. The network contributes to the improvement of the education systems in Europe, through the providing of information on various aspects of the educational policy and practice.
Eurydice is a network founded by the European Commission and the member states in 1980, in order to back the European cooperation in the education sector. With the support of the national units, Eurydice provides descriptions of the national education systems, comparative studies dedicated to specific subjects, indexes and statistics. The Eurydice reports show the ways the countries approach the challenges at all levels of education: early education and taking care of children, primary and secondary education, higher education and adults’ education.
All EU member states are members of Eurydice, along with some non-EU members, bringing together 48 national systems. Starting from 2024, the Eurydice network is part of the Erasmus+ programme.
The National Office Erasmus+ in Moldova will be in charge of the management of the Eurydice national unit, in cooperation with the Education and Research Ministry and the Delegation of the European Union in Moldova.
