Branch of Angel Kanchev University of Bulgaria to be set up in Taraclia city of Moldova

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Grigore Tamblac State University from Taraclia will become branch of the Angel Kanchev University from the Ruse city, Bulgaria. The cabinet today ruled to sign the Agreement between the governments of Moldova and Bulgaria on the foundation of the branch.
Through the enforcement of this agreement, the syllabi will diversify and their quality will improve and the graduates will receive education diplomas at specialties accredited and recognized at the European level. At the same time, the labour conditions for teachers will be improved and the investments in the University’s technical and material basis will increase; thus, the process of internationalization and openness for cooperation with universities from the European area will be ensured.
The signing of the agreement is scheduled within the Moldovan-Bulgarian joint inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation, which will take place in next March. Once the agreement signed, the rights and duties of the Grigore Tamblac State University, as well as the institution’s heritage will be delivered to the branch of the Angel Kanchev University from Bulgaria, with headquarters Taraclia.
The students of the Grigore Tamblac State University will continue their education at the specialties to which they were admitted at the newly created branch and the teaching staff and the non-teaching staff will continue working at the new branch.
The financing of the branch of the Angel Kanchev University will be provided from the budget of the Angel Kanchev University from Ruse, in accordance with Bulgaria’s legislation.
