Passengers to be able to quicker recover money for unused plane tickets in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - The passengers who purchased plane tickets will be the first to recover their money, if the air company enters insolvency. A draft law which stimulates this was considered at a today’s meeting of the parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finances.
The draft sees the completion of the Law on insolvency with a new item, according to which the passengers who bought the plane tickets will be among the first whom the money will be returned, when the company enters insolvency.
So far, passengers have been ranked only seventh in terms of the priority of returning the debts, while now, they will be the first.
The authors of the draft law also say that, at present, there are over 28,000 citizens who did not get their money back for the purchasing of tickets from the Air Moldova Company. It is about 75,000 tickets worth about 9 million euros.
