Moldovan government increases allocations for all war veterans, their families from Moldova

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet today ruled to increase the allowances and allocations provided to those who had participated in military conflicts or liquidation of man-cased catastrophes. Thus, the participants in the World War II will receive monthly allocations increased by 500 lei and will amount to about 2,050 lei, the government’s communication department has reported.
At the same time, they will benefit from a one-off allowance worth 10,000 lei and the people involved in the stocking of ammunitions and military, in demining areas and objects in the World War II will enjoy 5,000 lei.
The project also sees that the victims of the combat actions for the defence of the territorial integrity and independence of Moldova, of the combat actions on the territory of other states of combat actions in peaceful times will benefit from increased monthly allocations from 1,625 to 1,850 lei, depending on the disability degree.
The participants in the Chernobyl accident relief works will benefit from allocations higher by 250 lei than at present – worth up to 1,600 lei. At the same time, the spouses survivors of the participants in the Chernobyl accident relief works, of the people who died in war and who remained with disabilities will receive 1,000 lei monthly, against 750 lei monthly, as it is at present.
Financial means amounting to 9.9 million lei were earmarked for the annual material assistance in all and 82 million lei – to increase the quantum of monthly state allocations to the war veterans.
