Open letter: Moldovan parliament speaker, along with other speakers in solidarity with Ukraine

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - More parliament speakers from European countries request international assistance of the USA for the Ukrainian nation. In an open letter submitted to President of the United States House of Representatives Mike Johnson, the parliament speakers show their support for the joint efforts to help Ukraine. The document was signed by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu as well, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.      

The officials call on the House of Representatives of the USA to back Ukraine and to provide the Ukrainian people with the funds needed to continue their fight from the assistance provided to foreign countries.

„During these two years of war, the countries which care our common values and believe in a world based on rules and respect to the UN Charter have united in order to help Ukraine and its people reject the brutal aggression which takes thousands of lives every day. We believe that our responsibility and task is to prevent this fall into chaos and impunity and therefore, our countries committed to increase, in continuation, our support for Ukraine and its defence forces, seeing this fact as a considerable investment in our individual and collective security,’’ reads the open letter by the parliament speakers.
