Over 58,000 people pay health insurance policy in Moldova in first two months of 2024

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - More than 58,000 people in the first two months of this year paid the mandatory health insurance premium in fixed sum. This figure has increased by almost 3,000 against the same period of the last year.
According to the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM), over 32,000 out of all payers have paid the premium in amount of 2,028 lei. It is about the founders of individual enterprise and peasant farm, patentees, leaseholders, other citizens who are not employed and neither are they insured by the government, the citizens with right of temporary stay in Moldova, etc.
Another about 23,000 people, owners of farmland, paid the premium worth 1,014 lei, which is by about 5,000 more against the same period of the year before.
At the same time, about 3,000 citizens who carry out independent activities in the field of retail trade, except for the commerce with goods subjected to excise duties, paid the insurance premium worth 1,622 lei and about 900 people paid for the health insurance amounting to 4,056 lei.
The overall volume of financial means collected in January-February 2024 in the mandatory health insurances accounts from the payment of the premium in fixed sum exceeded 100 million lei, up by two million lei against the same period of the last year.
