Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Speaker Igor Grosu and Romanian Senate President Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă planted magnolia saplings at Alexandru Ciubotaru National Botanical Garden in Chisinau. The action took place as a sign of friendship between the two countries, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The two officials pointed out the importance to boost bilateral parliamentary activity, which would provide the opportunity to take over Romania's legislative experiences in implementing reforms, as well as Moldova's accession to the EU.
Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă is on an official visit to Chisinau on 1-2 March. He is accompanied by MEPs Siegfried Mureșan and Rareș Bogdan, as well as Secretary of State for Relations with Moldova Adrian Dupu.
