Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister held bilateral meetings with counterparts of Egypt, Slovakia

Chisinau, March 1 /MOLDPRES/- In Turkey, where Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi is attending Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, the Moldovan official had meetings with his counterparts from Egypt and Slovakia, the Foreign Ministry's press service has reported.
Together with Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry, Popsoi reviewed the progress made in Moldovan-Egyptian cooperation relations.
"We reiterated our country's interest in opening an embassy in Cairo. We thanked the Egyptian side for assistance in evacuating Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip," the Moldovan official said.
On advancing bilateral cooperation and assisting Moldova in accession to the European Union, Popsoi discussed with Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanár.
"I have accepted the invitation to pay a working visit to Slovakia in the coming period. I mentioned that the development assistance provided through SlovakAid for energy projects has tangible results for the citizens of our country," Popsoi said.
Tomorrow, on the second day of the Forum, the official will hold talks with foreign ministers from Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan.
