„I appreciated the support of Switzerland provided to Moldova in the economic field, the one of health and education. During a meeting with his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dačić, Deputy PM Popsoi approached topical subjects on the bilateral agenda.

I said that the situation was stable in Moldova. I thanked for the invitation to visit Serbia. Today at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, I referred to the world food security, as well as to the one in the region, in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine,’’ the Moldovan official noted.
„I discussed an important and urgent problem – the ensuring of the food security, seriously hit by Russia’s continuous actions and our joint efforts to achieve this crucial goal.
The initiative on the transit of wheat through the Black Sea was the result of the solidarity of the international community and it showed the determination to act together, in order to back the people of Ukraine, as well as the nations from all over the world, which need these Ukrainian agricultural products.
I confirmed our solidarity with the Ukrainian nation, as well as the willingness to continue providing political, diplomatic and humanitarian support to Ukraine.
The war in the neighbour country caused serious consequences regionally and globally. Diverse sectors of the national economies are hit – energy, food, security. Moldova is not an exception. But we understand that our assistance for Ukraine stays important and we are prepared to continue it,’’ Minister Popsoi added.
