Moldovan president announces start of this year's afforestation campaign

Chisinau, March 4 /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu announces that the afforestation campaign starts on March 10.
"We are going to plant over 13 million saplings and take care of the plantations of last year, when together we succeeded in regenerating 7 thousand hectares of forest," said the head of state.
Maia Sandu urges citizens to continue the greening action within the National Forest Programme this year. "Forest generation can bring change to our country and combat the effects of the climate crisis. A green country means a clean environment and a healthy society", the head of state also said.
