Moldovan president to pay working visit to Romania, to participate in congress of European People's Party

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 5-6 March will pay a working visit to Bucharest, where she will discuss the bilateral cooperation and will participate in the congress of the European People’s Party (EPP).   

At the visit, the head of state will have meetings with President Klaus Iohannis and Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and will meet the community of Moldovans from Bucharest. 

Also, the Moldovan president will take part in the congress of the European People’s Party, where she will give a speech and will have meetings with more counterparts.   

The congress of the European People’s Party takes place before the European Parliament election and will elect the EPP’s principal candidate for the head of the European Commission. Over 2,000 delegates from over 40 countries will participate in the event, among whom there will be heads of state and government, presidents of parties on behalf of EPP, as well as European commissioners who are members of the political family of the European People’s Party.
