Moldovan Foreign Affairs Ministry joins Generation of Wood national campaign

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The diplomats have changed the office clothing for comfortable boots, jeans and jackets, in order to contribute to a more afforested country within the Generation of Wood national campaign, launched by the Environment Ministry.   

With love for the native land, the team of the ministry planted lime and ash trees on an area of two hectares in the Mana village, central Orhei district.  

The plantation of new forests and the re-afforestation of the degraded ones will contribute to the diminution of the climate changes.

The afforestation programme brings benefits through the creation of jobs in the rural zone, improvement of the agricultural productivity and diminution of the soil’s erosion, attenuation of the impact of the climate changes locally, purification of air and protection of waters.
