Moldovan president starts afforestation campaign of this spring

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The plantations within the national afforestation programme for a greener country and more resistant to the climate changes continue, President Maia Sandu has said. The head of state today went to the Riscova village, central Criuleni district, and planted 24,000 acacia trees on almost 5 hectares of degraded land, along with employees of the presidential institution, local residents, pupils from the gymnasium of the village, students, representatives of the Association of Business Women from Moldova.  

The Moldovan president urged all citizens to participate in the planting of woods in as many as possible settlements of Moldova in the next weeks.
