Over 200 employees of General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations participates in National Afforestation Campaign in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Over 200 employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) on 10 March planted trees in more regions of Moldova. The action took place in the context of the carrying out of the National Afforestation Campaign.
According to IGSU, on 10 March 2024, rescuers and firemen from all subdivisions of the institution got involved in actions of greening and afforestation of the country.
According to the quoted source, the carrying out of these actions is aimed at extending the forest fund and protecting the environment.
The National Afforestation Campaign sees the rehabilitation and creation of new forests on an area of 145,000 hectares in the next ten years.
