Over 14,000 people call ambulance in Moldova in last week

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service was called for 14,026 patients, of whom 1,948 children, during the last week.
According to the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance National Centre (CNAMUP), in the last week, the intervention of ambulance was requested for patients with the following emergencies: 3,617 cardiovascular emergencies, of which 54 with acute coronary syndrome; 2,051 respiratory emergencies, of which 998 acute viral respiratory infections; 1,924 neurological emergencies, of which 253 cerebral vascular accidents and 1,174 tramatological emergencies.
On the aforementioned period, the ambulance teams intervened for 37 traffic accidents which occurred on Moldova’s roads, in the wake of which 43 people were hit. Following the providing of emergency medical assistance, 35 patients, of whom 8 children were hospitalized.
In the last week, the joint controller’s office of CNAMUP received 42 calls for reasons of toxic emergencies, of which 15 intoxications with alcohol, 10 ones with medicines and 7 with carbon monoxide. Also, 36 emergencies triggered by chemical and environmental agents, of which 22 combustions were recorded.
