Moldovan president participates in Startup Moldova Summit 2024

Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today participated in the Startup Moldova Summit 2024 – an event which brought together entrepreneurs, IT professionals, startups and potential investors.     

The head of state said that, at the summit, she met ‘’creative and diligent people, who contribute to the growth of the IT sector.’’ ‘’We have already over 200 startups and the IT industry is one of the pillars of our economic development.     

We rely on a better evolution in the upcoming years, due to the measures adopted by the government, in order to reduce the administrative burden on the private environment,’’ the Moldovan president stressed.   

The head of state also said that all people who correctly did business must be supported, and the state, through laws and the regulations which it adopts, should keep pace with the evolution of the technology. ‘’Important steps have been already made in this direction and now it is necessary that we carry through the agenda assumed by the government to digitalize the public services, so much the more the ones for entrepreneurs,’’ the president said.    

President Maia Sandu encouraged all young people with ideas to be active, to present their visions, plans and remain ambitious and motivated. ‘’You do not build only businesses, but also transform our country in that modern European state which the entire society is expecting,’’ the head of state added.
