Movie by Moldovan film directors screened at Francophone Film Festival in Rome

Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - To mark the International Francophonie Day, the Embassy of Moldova in Italy, in cooperation with the French Cultural Institute - Centre Saint Louis from Rome, have recently promoted the screening of the movie, The Bed of Procust, made by film directors Sergiu Prodan and Viorica Mesina, at the 14th edition of the FRANCOFILM - Francophone Film Festival in Rome.
According to a press release by the Embassy of Moldova in Italy, during the inauguration speech, Ambassador Anatolie Urecheanu said that the film, The Bed of Procust, screened according to a novel by Camil Petrescu, is a psychological film of great intensity, in which directors Sergiu Prodan and Viorica Mesina, as well as the actors managed to convey complex feelings of the personages in relation with the getting aware of their own morality and the one of the society in which they exist.’’
The film brought together a large audience, including from the Rome Diaspora and Moldova’s participation itself in the Francophone Film Festival contributed to the international promotion of the Moldovan cinematography.
