Moldova to receive 150 million euros on behalf top European bank for roads' rehabilitation

Chisinau, 15 March /MOLDPRES/ - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide Moldova with a loan worth 150 million euros for the rehabilitation of two road segments. The parliament ratified the Agreement on loan to this end.
The 150 million euros provided by EBRD covers a half of the sum needed for the implementation of the Project V on roads’ rehabilitation in Moldova. The rest of the money will be provided by the European Investment Bank, under the contract on financing signed on 31 March 2022.
As a result, two important road segments will be rehabilitated. It is about the second segment of the Chisinau belt road. The road segment, with a length of seven km, will be extended to four lanes. Also, the road of access which makes connection between the border with Romania, Leuseni, Chisinau, Dubasari and the border with Ukraine will be modernized. It has a length of 85 km.
