Moldovan farmers receive subsidies worth over 610 million lei since early 2024

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) today informed that, since the beginning of the 2024 year till present, the sum disbursed by the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) on farmers’ accounts had reached a figure of 610 million lei (30.5 million euros). A considerable growth was marked against the same period of the last year, when the sum was of 261 million lei.

According to the quoted source, AIPA authorized for payment 47.75 million lei in form of subsidies for backing the farmers.

„This sum was distributed as follows: 30.8 million lei for 313 applications of additional payments; 15.36 million lei for 32 post-investment applications; 1.59 million lei for 16 innovative projects through the LEADER approach,’’ the Agriculture Ministry said.
