Moldovan deputy PM has discussions with Slovakia's state secretary for European affairs

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has had a phone conversation with State Secretary for European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Marek Eštok, the government’s communication department reported.
The dialogue was focused on the degree of implementation of the last three recommendations of the European Commission and on the developments in the carrying out of the agenda of reforms, meant to speed up the process of Moldova’s accession to EU.
At the same time, the official stressed the government’s commitment to continue the ambitious reforms it had taken, which have to gal to modernize Moldova and to get closer to the European standards.
Deputy PM Gherasimov expressed gratitude for Slovakia’s support for the country’s European integration way, especially for the positive vote at the meeting of the European Council in December 2023, when the opening of the negotiations on accession with Moldova was decided.
