Deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with head of EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova, Ukraine

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today has a meeting with Head of the European Union Mission Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) Slawomir Pichor, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The officials discussed the activities and measures implemented by EUBAM in the context of the carrying out of the Mission’s Action Plan for 2023-2025, including on the dimension of the support of the Transnistrian settlement process.

Serebrian appreciated EUBAM’s productive involvement in the generation of the topic-related reports which regards the dynamic of the commercial and economic interaction between the two banks of Dniester, as well as of the technical opinions on customs, fiscal, state border management aspects, etc., meant to make uniform the standards and requirements all over the country.

The deputy PM stressed the fact that, in the context of the ever more important role of EU in the settlement process, the EUBAM’s expertise on the fiscal and customs dimension and of the borders’ integrated management becomes ever more necessary.
