Officers of Moldova's National Anticorruption Centre make searches in file on abuse of power

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - Anticorruption officers today carry out searches in the office of an authorized administrator from Chisinau. The criminal prosecution actions take place under the leadership of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA) and are carried out in a criminal file which regards the abuse of power within an insolvency process.

According to the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA), the administrator, in complicity with members of the committee of creditors and decision-makers from the private environment would have sold more dwellings on the Pietrarilor Street from Chisinau through the organization of a tender procedure, worth over 7.6 million lei (about 380,000 euros), held contrary to the Law of insolvency.

The authorized administrator is to heard as a suspect and prosecuted at large.
