Moldovan parliament speaker takes part in Conference of Parliament Speakers of EU Strategy for Danube Region

Chisinau, 19 March /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, at the Conference of Parliament Speakers of the states of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region, has referred to how important the security in the region was, including for Moldova and Ukraine, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.    

In his message, the parliament speaker said that, through the concerned strategy, the sides wanted the involvement of as many people as possible locally, regionally and nationally, in order to develop the region and improve the people’s living. Also, the platform will help Moldova consolidate the capacities to be more prepared for the accession process. ‘’I have come up with a call to our partners from the Danube region and beyond it – to support Moldova on our European integration way. Moldova’s integration into EU would not be only a significant achievement for our country, but also evidence of the power and unity of the European project, contributing to the stability and prosperity of the Danube region as a whole,’’ the parliament speaker noted.      

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu participates in the Conference of Parliament Speakers of the states of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region. The event is held in Vienna, hosted by the Austrian Parliament, on 18-20 March.
