Chisinau-based Medical University to mark 25th anniversary of Moldova-North Carolina State partnership

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) will organize an event of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Bilateral Partnership on Cooperation between Moldova and the U.S. North Carolina state.
The festivity will take place at the headquarters of the University Socio-cultural Complex on the Nicolae Testemitanu Street 25 on 21 March at 14:00.
Attending the ceremony will be: North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United to Moldova Kent D. Logsdon and USMF Rector, Professor Emil Ceban.
The agenda includes a panel of discussions with the participation of the American officials. At the event, Emil Ceban will unveil the results of the bilateral partnership during those 25 years of cooperation and a question-and-answer session.
On this occasion, an exhibition will be inaugurated of publications donated to the Medical Scientific Library by the North Carolina State, a gallery of photos will be displayed and a documentary titled, People to People, will be screened. The film shows the history of the university’s programmes on cooperation in the fields of stomatology, pharmacy, medical assistance and the inter-library partnership, as well as the most important events which took place during one quarter of a century.
Attending the meeting will also be members of the delegation from North Carolina, representatives of the Embassy of the USA in Moldova, pro-rectors, deans, managers of programmes on bilateral cooperation and their beneficiaries; teachers, student, resident physicians, young researchers and librarians.
