Moldovan president has meeting with representatives of Changing the Way We Care project in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today received a group of experts of the project, Changing the Way We Care (CTWWC), with whom she discussed the reform of the care system in Moldova.    

The CTWWC mission in Moldova is to contribute to the prevention of children’s separation from families, as well as to the finishing of the process of de-institutionalization through the creation of alternative family-type services. At the meeting, the head of state stressed the importance of the education and development of children in a harmonious environment, in which each child should feel protected and cared.     

Moldova has committed, in the context of the reforms and accession to the European Union, to cut the number of institutionalized children. The authorities’ effort is backed by the civil society, international organizations and development partners.
