Digital platform to modernize agricultural sector of Moldova

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova has started implementing innovating initiatives, in the context of the process of modernization and integration of the digital technologies in agriculture, the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) reported.

An example is also the platform AGRODAT.MD, developed by agronomist Sergiu Smocinschi, which was explored by the state secretary at MAIA, Andrian Digolean. The official said farmers here can discover maps of the temperature of the soil and the precipitations, having possibility to access personalized recommendations of sowing and agricultural news.

„I urge farmers to discover the future sector through the AGRODAT.MD platform, as it can help them manage the farm and agricultural crops efficiently and being informed,’’ Andrian Digolean said.

The launch of the AGRODAT.MD platform was possible with the support Future Technologies Activity Project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
