Moldovan president attends starting of Rubicon 2024 Chisinau-Bucharest ultramarathon

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has welcomed the participants in the first ultramarathon organized on the territory of Moldova and Romania, Rubicon 2024 Chisinau-Bucharest, and wished them success. The head of state stressed that such events edified bridges between the two communities and promoted the understanding, friendship and peace, as well as a sound lifestyle through sport, the presidential press service has reported.        

„Each step on the itinerary of almost 500 km, from the Triumph Arch of Chisinau up to the Triumph Arch from Bucharest, will bring the two capitals closer to each other. Dear runners, the strength is not only in our legs, but especially in our hearts and in the capacity to believe in us. This ultramarathon is not only about the covering of a physical distance. Each participant is an ambassador of hope and of the firm will,’’ the Moldovan president added.
