Moldovan deputy PM for European integration has phone conversation with Spanish foreign affairs minister

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has had a phone conversation Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain José Manuel Albares. The officials discussed the developments on Moldova’s European integration agenda. 

During the conversation, Deputy PM Gherasimov said that the Moldovan government was fully involved in the implementation of the reforms, the goal of which is to speed up the European integration of Moldova. The Moldovan official also thanked for the positive vote given by Spain at the meeting of the European Council from December 2023.   

„I reiterated that we rely on the same support in the quick adoption of the framework of negotiations and the organization, in the nearest time, of the first intergovernmental conference, which is to officially mark the opening of the negotiations on accession,’’ Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov said.   

Also, the sides appreciated the excellent relations between Moldova and Spain agreed on the further consolidation of the cooperation in the European affairs sector.
