Moldovan foreign affairs minister meets director of EU Intellectual Property Office

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi has had a meeting with Executive Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) João Negrăo.   

The meeting took place in the context of a visit by a EUIPO delegation to Moldova, the goal of which is to officially inaugurate the EU4IP project on the consolidation of the copyrights in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, which will back the process of accession of these three countries to EU in the specific sector of the copyright.  

„I reiterated Moldova’s full commitment to its European integration way and emphasized the importance of the cooperation for the promotion and protection of the copyrights in Moldova. I thanked the European officials for the every support the EU was providing to Moldova in many sectors, including the copyright. I also voiced hope that EU and its member states will continue providing support and expertise to Moldova in the intellectual property field,’’ the Moldovan official stressed.
