Speaker meets Moldovans settled in Riga

Chisinau, March 26. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu started his official visit to the Republic of Latvia with a discussion with Moldovans residing in Riga for several years. They talked about the latest events in the Republic of Moldova and the fact that 2024 is an important year for our country's European path, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

A special topic was the legislative priorities aimed at improving the living conditions of the Moldovan citizens wherever they are. He said that the other days the Latvian Saeima voted in the final reading a draft law in social security, an agreement expected by many of our fellow citizens. A new Chisinau-Riga flight will be launched from May.

"In Riga, I met Moldovans who are actively involved in the socio-cultural life of Latvia, promoting our traditions", he said.

Grosu accompanied by deputies Alina Dandara and Mihail Druță is paying an official visit to Latvia on 25-26 March.
