Moldovan deputy PM for European integration has phone discussion with Montenegro's European affairs minister

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has had a phone conversation with Minister of European Affairs of Montenegro Maida Gorčević, the government’s communication department reported.    

The officials discussed the European aspirations of both countries and reviewed the key priorities of the Moldovan and Montenegrin governments in the process of accession to EU for this year.

„Montenegro received the status of country candidate for accession in the 2010 year and started the negotiations on accession in 2012. The experience and the good practices accumulated during years can help us more quickly advance on the European integration way,’’ Deputy PM Gherasimov said.   

In the context, the Moldovan official thanked Minister Gorčević for willingness to assist Moldova at the stage of pre-accession to EU.
