Moldovan president announces High Patronage for Meeting of Romanian National Theatres for fourth year consecutively

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, on the World Theatre Day, informs that she is honoured to provide High Patronage, along with Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis, to the Meeting of the Romanian National Theatres for the fourth year in a row.     

The head of state conveyed a congratulatory message to all theatre people, through which their work and extraordinary efforts, turn to good account and contribute to the cultural unity of the two banks of the Prut river.   

„The Meeting of the Romanian National Theatres is another bridge across the Prut river, which gets us even closer; it is a moment when we celebrate the more and more closer relation between Chisinau and Bucharest, including on this important day for all Romanians, who celebrate the 106th anniversary of Bessarabia’s Union with Romania. Besides the fact that it is the principal political and economic partner, Romania is our strongest advocate in the European Union and in the process of ensuring the peace and welfare in our country,’’ President Maia Sandu stressed.
