Wine of Moldova Japan Association launched in Tokyo

Chisinau, April 1 /MOLDPRES/- Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) announced today the organization of a historic event for the Moldovan wine industry in Tokyo, Japan. Under the patronage of the National Wine Office, the Wine of Moldova Japan Association was launched, dedicated to promoting Moldovan wines on the Japanese market.

The launch of the association was marked by the presence of Moldovan wine producers, senior officials from the Japanese government and the National Diet of Japan, as well as representatives of partner organizations, including JICA and USAID.

Attending the event, MAIA Secretary General Sergiu Gherciu said that "this step represents a significant opportunity and a turning point for the Moldovan wine industry".

"The project's implementation was made possible thanks to the close collaboration between development partners, the private sector and the team at the Moldovan National Wine Office. Of course, it is important to mention the constant support we received from the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tokyo. All our efforts have one goal: to expand the presence of Moldovan wines on international markets and strengthen their reputation," the official said.

The Wine of Moldova Japan Association aims to organize various events and marketing campaigns to promote Moldovan wines in Japan and to support local producers in accessing this market.
