Chisinau, April 2 /MOLDPRES/- On World Autism Awareness Day, President Maia Sandu visited the Republican Rehabilitation Centre for Children - a place where "it is clear how important it is to accept our neighbour and to have a harmonious community where children, all children, grow up happy," the presidential press service has reported.
"I was happy to learn about today's decision of the Ministry of Health to create the first public center specializing in services for children with autism. The centre is to be set up in the coming months so that children with autism can benefit from much-needed services free of charge. Children with autism deserve to have a happy childhood, a fulfilling social life and the support they need to become independent," the head of state said.
