Moldovan prime minister at IGSU Awards Gala

Chisinau, April 5 /MOLDPRES/- Four employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) received the Government's Diploma of Honour for their spirit of sacrifice, courage and bravery, dedication and devotion in carrying out their service missions, as well as on Rescuer's Day, handed out by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at a solemn ceremony, the government's communication department has reported.
In his speech, the official noted that rescuers and firefighters are brave and devoted people, who put the value of others' lives before their own. Recean brought a message of thanks to the families of IGSU employees and paid tribute to the rescuers and firefighters who lost their lives in missions.
During the IGSU Awards Gala, he appreciated the support of development partners, in particular, Romania's help in expanding the SMURD project in our country, as well as the investments of the United States of America. "We are all contributing together to the growth of a large family of those who save lives here in the Republic of Moldova, but also wherever necessary", he said.
The premier said that the participation of our country's rescuers and firefighters in international missions shows that the level of training is similar to that of the European Union countries.
