Customs Service collected over 692 million lei last week

Chisinau, April 8 /MOLDPRES/- Customs Service collected 692.4 million lei (about 34.6 million euros) to the state budget on 1- 7 April, which is 101.1%.

During the period, private people brought in goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, and payments worth more than 20.2 million lei were collected, accounting for 2.9% of the total amount. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects.

Past week, 12,427 customs declarations were completed and the flow of means of transport amounted to 55,231 crossings. The most transited customs posts remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 15,733 and 12,219 crossings respectively.

Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected about 9.12 billion lei to the state budget, which is 112.5%.
