Moldovan president meets representatives of local authorities of Gagauzia

Chisinau, April 11 /MOLDPRES/- During her working visit to Comrat, President Maia Sandu met with mayors and representatives of local public authorities from the largest cities of the Gagauz Autonomy - Comrat, Ceadir-Lunga and Vulkanesti, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state said that dialogue with local representatives is important for regional development. The president said that since 2020, four projects worth about 18 million lei have been carried out with the support of the government through Gagauzia Regional Development Agency alone, while eight other projects worth 87 million lei are underway. At the same time, under the European Village Programme, 19 localities have attracted projects worth over 73 million lei.
The official also said that together with local administrations, villages and towns in each region can be modernised for the well-being of all citizens.
