Moldovan PM, German Vice-Chancellor address cooperation, reforms

Chisinau, April 21 /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean had a meeting with German Vice-Chancellor, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Robert Habeck. They discussed reform agenda implemented in Moldova to ensure the country's economic development, opportunities created by the authorities to attract foreign investment, as well as possibilities to expand Moldovan-German trade and economic cooperation.
Recean appreciated German side's support in strengthening key sectors for the country's modernization. He also said that the Moldovan-German economic potential needs to be fully used, and pointed out the importance of continuously informing German businessmen about the benefits our country offers to investors.
"I am glad to have Germany's support in strengthening our economic ties and promoting investment opportunities for German businesses. The Republic of Moldova remains oriented towards economic growth, is developing and accelerating its path towards the big European family, with reliable friends like Germany", he said.
The officials also discussed Moldova's energy security and efforts to diversify renewable energy sources. "Our priority is to strengthen our energy independence through cooperation with partners and the implementation of strategic energy projects," he said.
