Refugees employed in Moldova to be provided with health insurance

Chisinau, April 25 /MOLDPRES/- Beneficiaries of temporary protection who are employed in Moldova will be provided with health insurance. MPs voted on a draft in the second reading.
The draft set up by the Health Ministry in partnership with the National Health Insurance Company stipulates maintaining the status of insured person for employed beneficiaries of temporary protection even after the end of the state of emergency. The persons concerned will have the same rights and obligations in the compulsory health insurance system as Moldovan citizens.
According to statistics, in early February 1,302 citizens of Ukraine were employed in Moldova. The expenses for the provision of medical services are borne from the funds of the compulsory health insurance, within the limit of the financial means approved in the Law on the funds of the compulsory health insurance for 2024.
