Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration: Today we honour our flag and work for European Moldova

Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/- Today we honour our flag and work for European Moldova - so that in the shortest possible time, our tricolour will be honoured alongside the flags of the other European Union member states. The message was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov in the context of today's State Flag Day.

"The State Flag is the symbol of the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova, of our unity, solidarity and identity. Today, we honour our flag and work for European Moldova - so that, in the shortest possible time, our tricolour will find its place of honour alongside the flags of the other European Union member states," Gherasimov said.

State Flag Day was established by the Parliament on 23 April 2010. The Tricolour was officially designated the state flag on 27 April 1990.
