European official to visit Chisinau on Europe Day

Chisinau, April 28 /MOLDPRES/- European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn will visit Chisinau on 9 May, Europe Day.

According to the European Union Delegation to Chisinau, the European official will deliver a speech together with President Maia Sandu, at the opening of the Europe Day event.

Johannes Hahn is visiting at the invitation of Maia Sandu.

This year's Europe Day is entitled Freedom, Peace, Prosperity - Europe is you! The traditional European Village will be inaugurated in Chisinau on 9 May and in Balti on 19 May. Activities dedicated to Europe Day will take place throughout May and will highlight European values and culture, as well as the assistance provided by the EU and member states for the benefit of Moldovan citizens.
