CNA officers raided in case of passive corruption and bribery in Chisinau

Chisinau, April 29 /MOLDPRES/ - A scheme to illegally obtain land in Chisinau has been uncovered by law enforcement officials. CNA officers are carrying out 35 raids on 30 people targeted in a case of passive bribery and bribe-taking.

According to the CNA, a president of the Chisinau City Council Association and a former specialist of the Chisinau City Hall's Land Department are being investigated. The two suspects are alleged to have masterminded a scheme to illegally transfer ownership of land located in the capital.

Today, CNA officers carried out 35 raids on 30 people targeted in the organisation of the scheme to illegally take over the municipality's land. As a result of the prosecution, mobile phones, information carriers and draft documents were seized. Both persons are being investigated.
