Moldovan students won silver, bronze medals, honorable mentions at Balkan Mathematical Olympiad

Chisinau, May 2 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova's Olympic team won a silver medal, two bronze medals and two mentions at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad in Varna, Bulgaria, on 27 April - 2 May 2024.
The silver medal was won by Marius Cerlat, a student of Orizont Theoretical High School in Chisinau. Bronze medals were awarded to Timur Degteari and Alin Popescu, students of Orizont Theoretical High School in Chisinau, and mentions went to Laura Șestacov and Mihai Eșanu, students of the same educational institution.
The 41st edition of the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad was attended by 137 students from 22 countries, the Republic of Moldova being represented by six students and two teachers.
