BTA: Suvorovo municipality signs partnership agreement with moldovan Chirsova municipality

Chişinău, 2 mai. /MOLDPRES/. BTA. A partnership agreement was signed between Suvorovo Municipality and the Moldovan Chirsova Municipality here on Thursday.

Suvorovo Mayor Danail Yordanov and Chirsova Mayor Anna Khokhlova signed the agreement, that will provide for the two municipalities to cooperate in the fields of tourism, culture, sports, environmental protection and economy.

Yordanov said that an exchange of good practices will be carried out between the administrations, focusing on the development of joint projects with which to apply for European financial instruments that promote interregional cooperation with third countries.

Yordanov added that half of the 7,000 population of Chirsova has Bulgarian roots, which have kept their Bulgarian language and customs. Many Gagauz people also live in the village, which has two schools and two kindergartens.
